Beautiful aromas of peaches, mangoes and lemons follow through to a full body, fresh and vivid acidity and a long, flavorful finish. The salty and minerally character comes through at the end.

The nose here shows distinctive notes of pink grapefruit, dried papaya, white pepper, rosemary and thyme, nutmeg and jasmine. Full-bodied with plenty of fleshy tropical and stone fruit but also salty undertones and an easily distinguishable line of driven acidity to help carve out a long, mineral finish.

Lots of dried-lemon and peach with some cooked-pear aromas. Full-bodied yet very vivid and energetic with a nice phenolic texture and a long, flavorful finish.

Dried rose petals, blueberries, fresh herbs, dried spices and citrus. Medium to full body and a lovely core of red fruit, enveloped by firm but generous tannins. Bright acidity carries this through to a tightly wound finish.

A lot of caramelized orange and a rich, creamy texture make this a very appealing dessert wine and the sweetness is enough to go with quite a wide range of desserts. Good length, if a bit simple at the finish.

Quite subtle and rather silky, this is an elegant chardonnay that’s just beginning to open up and deliver a generous dose of ripe pears. This has more complexity at the finish than most wines of this category.

Gooseberries, green paprika and apricots are the main attraction on the nose. The palate shows a good balance between richness and freshness, sporting bright acidity and a medium oily finish.

Beautiful aromas of mangoes, papaya and pineapple to this exotic sauvignon. Medium to full body, an oily texture and a bright, clear finish.

Plenty of lychees and ripe lemons with a hint of smoked bacon. This dry gewurtz is quite elegant with no hint of obtrusive alcohol, sweetness or bitterness. With more complexity, it would have rated even higher.

There’s some good sophistication to this lagrein with morello cherries, dried herbs, licorice and tar. Full body, chewy tannins and an intensely fruity finish.

Attractive and open, this pinot bianco has plenty of lemon-pie character. Juicy and medium-bodied with good depth and harmony. Very food flexible.
 
90| SCHIAVA GALEA 2017
This has almonds, strawberries and raspberries on the nose. The light-to medium-bodied palate finishes juicy and fruity with tangy acidity.
